New College Oxford Hoarding

New College Oxford are currently having their kitchen and dining hall refurbished and Austin Newport (the company that's tasked to do the work) asked us to produce a layout for the hoarding they constructed to hide their site administration buildings. The layout had to reflect the textures and 'feel' of the stonework in and around the college.

The job required a site visit, and, using a 16MP camera, close-up shots of the City Wall and college sandstone walls were taken, then patched together using Photoshop. Additional pictures of locations from within the college were taken added to the wall textures at various intervals. Half the hoarding reflects the City Wall stone texture and half shows the sandstone texture. This gives the hoarding the same 'look and feel' and helps to blend it in.

The hoarding consists of 78 dibond panels, each one printed using a UV direct-to-substrate printer.
