A new member to the family...

The Epson Stylus Pro GS 6000

This our latest acquisition to our collection of large-format printers, an Epson Stylus Pro GS6000.

It uses the latest printhead technology (dual micro Piezo for all you printing tech geeks out there) and Eco inks to achieve stunning quality prints up to 64-inches wide, on a huge range of medias. The inks are solvent-based but are nickel-free so we're doing our bit for the environment plus it has another ace up it's sleeve; unlike most other types of inkjet printers it fires the micro dots from it's printheads in 'waves' rather than straight 'rows', this reduces banding, particularly noticeable on large areas of a single flat colour.

It has an 8-colour system, utilising two more colours than the usual 6-colour system most modern large-format printers use. These two colours are orange and green, have been specially developed by Epson and enables the printer to achieve a greater range of colours. By this we mean richer depths in high contrast prints, brighter overall colours and closer matching to specific colours such as those use in the Pantone, vinyl or RAL paint matching colour systems.

Already we can seen the difference with it's ability to produce brighter colours as we practically had to wear sunglasses to look at a school sign we produced that had a orange background!
We're particularly looking forward to producing vehicle wraps with it and are looking into the possibility of offering a fine art print service as well as the usual range of banners, poster, pop-ups and banner-up systems.

At a glance:
  • 8-color printing - C, M, Y, K, Lc, Lm, Orange and Green for deeper
  • and brighter colours and increased colour matching capability
  • Wave printing technology - reduces banding, critical for large areas of flat colour
  • Environmentally friendly Eco solvent inks
  • Prints produced for most indoor or outdoor applications - vehicle
  • wraps, fine-art prints, posters and banners
  • Output up to 64-inches wide, roll to roll
